History of Daimei
Incorporated on 20th May 2010 fully owned subsidiary of Mirait Corporation
Established in Japan – 1946
Commenced operations in Sri Lanka – 1980
Batticaloa Telecommunication Network – Which Was Badly Damaged Due to Major Cyclone of 1978. Since 1978 operate in Sri lanka
Thereafter attended to development of Outside Plants in the following Areas using the most modern Technology at that time

- Ratnapura
- Kurunegala
- Kegalle
The Greater Colombo Telecom. Network Development Project (1988)
Telecom Network in and around Colombo city was developed with using latest Technology with introducing underground Cable System and replacing the old overhead wire system – Project Duration – 3 years, 50,000 nos. New Subscriber Connections were installed.
